Wedding Officiant
As an ordained minister, legally permitted to perform and solemnize marriages in the state of Colorado. I am pleased to provide caring, fun and professional officiant services for legal marriages, vow renewals, same-sex weddings, handfastings, and commitment ceremonies.
Each ceremony is as special as the couple it is for, so your wedding should be about the two of you! You can select a standard civil or secular service, a spiritual or non-traditional ceremony, an interfaith or a non-denominational Christian service, or you can choose to personalise your ceremony. For custom ceremonies, you decide how simple or elaborate you want your ceremony to be and I will design a ceremony to suit your needs, including all the elements that will make your wedding perfect for you.
Wherever you are having your wedding, I will happily travel to perform ceremonies at the location of your choice - in a backyard or barn, at a chapel or under a Chuppah, a mountain meadow or ski resort, a downtown hotel or up in a hot air balloon! I have performed ceremonies for couples in love all over Colorado - in the Denver/Boulder metro area, all along the front range and up in the mountains, the Western Slopes, and destination weddings in other states. INCLUDED SERVICE AREA
There are no additional travel charges if your ceremony takes place within the greater Denver/Boulder metro areas, as outlined on the map above. For locations outside this area, travel charges do apply at $2 per mile per day. For locations more than 2 hours' drive, you may need to provide accommodation, and per diem fees may apply. Destination weddings are available with provided travel and accommodations in addition to ceremony and per diem fees.

Life Celebrations
Losing a loved one - a family member, a spouse or partner, a friend, or a pet - is a very difficult time for those left behind. Remembrance services, such as funerals, memorials, and celebrations of life, give us a time to remember the person who has passed with tears and laughter, and to be thankful for the time we spent with them. It is an opportunity to celebrate their life, their achievements, and to grieve for the loss of them in our lives.
Remembrance services can be religious, non-denominational, interfaith, spiritual or secular in nature. It is important to incorporate all the meaningful elements - the prayers, songs, readings and words from the hearts of those who knew and loved the departed best, and to be respectful of their final wishes. Funeral and memorial services can be fully customised to reflect the spirit of the person and their wishes.
Life can be complicated, and so can relationships. Sometimes it can be hard to farewell someone with whom you had a difficult relationship. Striking a balance between honesty and goodbye isn't always easy, so I strive to design a service that is both respectful and truthful.
Funerals, memorials and remembrance services can be held at many types of locations, from chapels to funeral parlours, crematoriums to event venues, memorial parks or gardens, private homes, or at the gravesite. Some choose a favoured spot, such as a beach or river, to sprinkle the ashes of their loved one. I am available to travel to the location of your choice to farewell your loved one.

Life Blessings
T here are so many reasons to celebrate in life, whether it's moving into a new home, or the joy of a child or pet. For those who do not belong to a particular church or faith, it can be difficult to mark the occasion in a way that feels comfortable, and so, I offer blessings and ceremonies that can be customised to suit you to celebrate these wonderful happenings!
If there is a particular spiritual, cultural or religious rite or ritual you would like to incorporate into your blessing or ceremony, please just let me know. The whole idea is to celebrate in the way that makes your day memorable and unique. Baby Blessings & Namings
A baby blessing, baptism, christening or child naming ceremony helps you truly celebrate the arrival of your child, whether by birth or adoption, and give thanks for the miracle of life. It enables you to formally welcome your child into the family, faith, and wider community. This beautiful event creates the potential for all those present to open their hearts and express their wishes and blessings for your child and their life to come.
It is also an opportunity to support the mother and father in their role as parents and acknowledge the sacred role of grandparents, godparents and guardians in offering their love, acceptance and wisdom to the new generation. Godparents or guardians may be appointed to help guide and teach your child on their life journey.
The ceremony enables significant family members and friends to be included in this process. It is a wonderful way of involving other children from the family in welcoming their new sister or brother into the world. Ceremonies can also be created for older children or to welcome an adopted child into their new family.
A baby naming ceremony can include the following:
:: The introduction, giving of the child's name, and blessing of the child
:: Outline of responsibilities for parents and their commitment to the child
:: Godparents' commitment to the child and their responsibilities

:: Poems and readings – read either by the celebrant, parent or friend

House Blessings
A home is far more than just a physical building. It is our place of refuge after a long day, a warm and relaxing place to enjoy time with our family and friends, and for many, an outlet for our handyman and decorating passions.
Throughout the world, many religions and cultures hold ceremonies to bless a house, to ensure the residents have a long and happy life in that home. Many people are familiar with the 'house warming' party, where guests bring thoughtful gifts for the home and its owners to create a warm and positive start to their new home.
A house blessing can take several forms, from a cleansing of energy prior to move-in, to a ceremony of thanks once settled. The ceremony can be formal, like a wedding or baby blessing, or more informal, like a party, and can use Christian elements of prayer and holy water, or spiritual blessings and smudging with sage. A house blessing or cleansing can be performed after an upheaval, such as a death or divorce, to clear out any negative energy and restore harmony in the dwelling.

Pet Blessings
For many people, a family member can also be four-legged, furry, swimming or feathered! A pet blessing can welcome a new pet into the family, celebrate a name change, give thanks to your pet for their companionship, or be a ceremony to say goodbye to a faithful friend who has passed.
Ceremonies for pets can include Christian elements, such as the blessing of St Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals on October 4th (his feast day), or be more secular or spiritual in nature. Just as each pet is unique, pet ceremonies can be customised to incorporate all the elements that are meaningful to you and your family to celebrate your friend.

Pre~Marital Coaching
T here is no legal requirement to have pre-marital coaching, complete a course, or take a class on marriage in the state of Colorado. I do, however, believe that an open and frank discussion before making such an important and lifelong commitment is very important. Many people enter that commitment by thinking about a "wedding" and not so much about a "marriage".
There are many elements that go into forming a successful partnership for life, and understanding your potential spouse or life partner's attitudes, values and expectations, and examining your own in relation to them can lay the foundation for an honest and supportive relationship.
Some of the issues couples can discuss in pre-marital coaching include...

:: What are your goals for your relationship?
:: What are your religious or spiritual differences or similarities?
:: How do you both feel about having and raising children?
:: What are your attitudes to money? This is perhaps the biggest argument issue in marriages today.

Service Area
I am happy to travel to your location for your ceremony or service. There are many beautiful sites in and around Denver, Boulder and the Rocky Mountains to hold your wedding. Many ceremonies are being held in homes and gardens, parks, beaches, hotels and resorts, even hot air balloons and amusement parks! Wherever you wish to express your vows, I can be there to perform a beautiful ceremony for you.
There are no additional travel charges if your ceremony takes place within the greater Denver/Boulder metro areas, as outlined on the map. Select venues just outside the map border, such as Sunrise Amphitheatre, Boettcher Mansion, the Evergreen Lakehouse, and Chatfield Botanic Gardens, just to name a few, are considered to be with the service area and do not incur a travel fee. If you have any questions about whether your desired wedding location falls in or out of the service area, please contact me.
For locations outside this area, travel charges do apply at $2 per mile for each day of travel. For locations requiring more than a 2-hour drive, you may also need to provide accommodation, and per diem fees may apply if you require services for an entire weekend. For destination weddings, travel and accommodations, such as a hotel room and flights (if driving is not an option), are required to be provided in addition to ceremony fees.
